Google Ads Transparency Search

See who is buying Google ads and how hard. Search any advertiser and get their verified identity, their region and the number of ads they have live right now — read straight out of Google's own Ads Transparency Center.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
  • Type any business or brand — get back whether they are running Google ads right now, and how many.
  • Straight from Google's own Ads Transparency Center: verified advertiser name, advertiser ID, region and live ad count.
  • A business with no match is a real answer — nobody is advertising under that name — not a failed lookup.
  • No API key, no browser, about a second per lookup. Same run over the REST API and the MCP server.

WHY THIS TOOL

Built for operators, not for clicking.

STRAIGHT FROM GOOGLE

Not an estimate

The advertiser name, ID, region and ad count all come from Google's own Ads Transparency Center — the same record Google shows the public. No modelling, no scraping guesswork, no third-party panel.

SILENCE IS A SIGNAL

Finds who isn't advertising

An empty result is stated plainly as "nobody is advertising under that name here" — which is exactly the list you want when you sell ads. A failed or blocked lookup is reported as an error instead, so the two are never confused.

NO KEY, NO WAIT

About a second

No API key to obtain, no browser to spin up, no per-lookup billing. Fast enough to run across a whole prospect list — which is what the Ad Library Lead Finder does.

AGENT-READY

REST + MCP

One inline REST call for a single lookup, a background job for big sweeps, and an MCP tool so Claude, n8n or Zapier can qualify an advertiser mid-workflow.

FAQ

Google Ads Transparency questions.

What does one lookup return?

Every advertiser matching your search, with the verified advertiser name Google holds, the advertiser ID, the verified region, the number of ads running right now, and a link to browse those ads. Google reports small advertisers exactly (92 ads) and buckets large ones into a range (9,000–10,000), so you get both bounds.

What does it mean when nothing comes back?

That nobody is verified as an advertiser under that name in that region — a real answer, and the one you want when prospecting. The tool says so explicitly. A lookup that actually failed is reported as an error instead, so "they aren't advertising" and "we couldn't check" are never mixed up.

Is the ad count live?

Yes — it is what the Ads Transparency Center reports at the moment you search. Run it again next week and the number moves as campaigns start and stop.

Does this need a Google API key?

No. It reads the public Ads Transparency Center with no key, no login and no browser — which is why it answers in about a second and costs nothing per lookup.

Which countries can I search?

Around 40 markets — the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Ireland, India, most of the EU, Brazil, Mexico, the UAE, Singapore and more. Region matters: the same brand verified in the US and in Italy are separate advertiser entries.

Can my AI agent call this?

POST /api/google-ads answers inline, POST /api/tool-run (tool gads) runs it as a background job, and the MCP server exposes it as a tool for Claude, n8n and Zapier.
